Busan, gateway to the world - Korean CultureExhibition «Busan, gateway to the world»

Exhibition where you can discover new things you did not know about ‘Busan’ that all Koreans think they know well. When people think of “Busan”, they think of the sea, but Busan is not only sea, but also a plain along the Nakdong River and the Suyeong River. Until the Joseon dynasty, most of the area was cultivated and agricultural culture and marine culture coexisted, forming a unique cultural sphere with diversity. Furthermore, as an exchange between people, goods and culture on the boundary between sea and land, various people and cultures intermingled with each other and developed in today’s city.
The exhibition consists of “Part 1, Intersection of people, materials and culture, Busan” and “Part 2, Coexistence of agricultural culture and marine culture, Busan”, showing the identity of Busan. Approximately 320 items, including collected data, photos and videos will be presented.
