Key Cultural and Tourism Events in September 2025
1. 30th Edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)
When: September 17–26
Where: Busan Cinema Center
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the festival, featuring 241 films, new competitive sections, and the reintegration of the Asian Cinema 100 project under an even more ambitious program. The opening ceremony will screen No Other Choice by Park Chan-wook, and key awards such as Best Film, Best Director, and Artistic Contribution will be presented.

2. Frieze Seoul 2025 y FIAF Art Fair
When: September 3–6
Where: COEX, Gangnam, Seoul
This contemporary art event will bring together more than 120 galleries from over 30 countries, including several making their debut. The program will feature works by prominent artists such as Do Ho Suh, Robert Morris, and Takashi Murakami, as well as historical exhibitions like Frieze Masters. Talks, performances, and more will also be organized.

3. Seoul Fashion Week 2025
When: September 3–7
Where: Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Seoul
This year, the event focuses on sustainability, promoting recycled textiles and eco-friendly designers. Actor Lee Min-ho may walk the runway wearing outfits made from recycled materials. Brands such as Hyosung TNC, Partsparts, and July Column stand out for their green approach.
In addition, during the same dates, the DDP will also host the Seoul Light night show, an artistic lighting spectacle.

4. 80th Liberation Anniversary Concert: Jo Yong-pil
When: September 6
Where: Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul
Legendary singer Jo Yong-pil will hold this major free concert, organized by KBS. Tickets sold out in less than three minutes, reflecting his enormous popularity.

5. Block Party Music and Art Festival
When: September 20–21
Where: Haebangchon neighborhood, Seoul
This block party-style festival combines music (rock, punk, indie), art, drag shows, comedy, magic, wrestling, and performance art. After an initial announcement of its cancellation, it is finally returning this year.

6. IFSC Climbing World Championships
When: September 21–28
Where: KSPO Dome, Seoul
The 19th edition of this championship will feature lead, speed, bouldering, and paraclimbing competitions.

7. Seoul EOU Cup Youth Football Tournament

Where: Seoul Olympic Stadium and Seoul World Cup Stadium
This international U18 tournament will bring together teams from across Asia, including national selections from Vietnam, Japan, Korea, and more.

This professional women’s tournament will attract top-ranked WTA players, featuring high-level matchups.

This major sporting event will bring together archers from around the world in various categories: recurve, compound, and mixed teams.
